Partners

Spring Rains Developments is presently partnering with Yayasan Sopoq Angen (YSA -- translated means approximately One Hear Foundation). This nine-member indigenous foundation was initiated in 2002 on the island of Lombok, Indonesia.

It is important to understand how we define partnering. Each organization is totally independent of each other. That is, each is self-reliant including self-determined, self-governing, and self-supporting. Spring Rains Developments has chosen to cooperate with this partner because they have the infrastructure on location to accomplish our goals. We are not their total source of income; rather we are a source that target finances one of their objectives being providing Drip-irrigation conversions for impoverished farmers in East Lombok.

This "have-not" island jockeys with some of the poorest regions in the world in terms of the five UN criteria for development: life expectancy, infant-mother mortality rate, and accessibility to clean water, sanitation and proper nourishment.  For example, the island has one of the highest rates per-capita of children born with cleft palates due to malnutrition

Spring Rains is presently partnering with YSA with the goal of converting scores of farms to a drip-irrigation system, which will solve several serious problems listed above.
